But........our computer is down for the count. And when I say down, it's down. It went to computer heaven. It's in the computer junkyard. It's being sold for parts. It's officially, kind of happily, out of our hands.
Here is what we hated about our computer:
- The keys stuck (from the first day we bought it! We thought it was because it was new, but for 8 years, those keys stuck and you could never type at normal speed)
- No matter how new your battery, it stayed charged for no longer than 30 minutes. So annoying
- The fan turned on and off LOUDLY
- The plug-in was wearing thin and you had to place an item just right below the plug in order to charge it. Often this item would shift and you would have to reposition
I am sure Jon and I could think of COUNTLESS other reasons we hated this thing. And, we would've gotten rid of it sooner if we had a few hundred dollars laying around to buy a computer. Right now, Jon's bringing his work laptop home nightly so I can do computer stuff - but it has not memory card reader. Bummer! Anyway, the old compaq konked out on us and we are now looking for the best deal out there on computers - preferrable one we like this time!
Sooooooooooooo, suggestions for super low price but good computers would be appreciated! (We've checked into the notebook or netbook, whatever it's called - we love the price but are not fans of the little it has to offer)! Thanks for all your future help! Pictures to come!
