No need for lunch, I'm good.

Macy and Caitlin pretty much share their birthdays. They are one day apart. They don't seem to mind much. But, if you asked Macy to share her cake, you'd have a problem. A big problem.

Hijacked!!!

Nope, not Jenny. This post is from sister-dear, blog picture fixer extraordinaire. I thought I'd just throw this post in here to see if Jenny can figure out how to delete it. But I may have to post once or twice since she was silly enough to give me her password. Insert evil laugh here...

"That's my daddy's team!"
Well, the season goes on! Jon's team won their first game of the KCAC tournament in a hard fought battle tonight. Since I have just started the blog, I have a lot of season to get through...but I think I'll just talk about the season highlights instead! It was quite a season with lots more highs than lows!

  • St. Mary's beats Pitt State - this was one of the biggest wins in school history because St. Mary's is an NAIA Division II team. Pitt State is an NCAA Division II team that has 12 full ride scholarships (St. Mary's has none) and it was AT PITT STATE. Pitt State also is a team that went to the national tournament last year and plays in the hardest conference in Division II - MIAA conference

  • St. Mary's beats Avila and Graceland on the road - two wins against NAIA division I teams

  • St. Mary's claims 2nd place in the KCAC by beating the 1st place team

  • St. Mary's also records the biggest turnaround this year by going 18-10 (and still going...) after the year before only winning 3 games the entire year.

  • Jon's player took Player of the Year, first team all conference, and Newcomer of the Year conference honors. One other player had unanimous first team all conference votes and a third player was honorable mention all conference.

  • Although the 1st place team's coach took coach of the year with 6 votes, Jon received 3 votes and 1 vote went to another coach. I know Jon deserved it and I know it's political. The best part is that he told me the night before the voting that his goal was to get as many honors for his players as possible, not him.

  • St. Mary's is now sitting at 19-10 and looks to play on Saturday and add to their wins. Go Spires!

My first post

I am officially a blogger...I guess. I just kept thinking how neat it would be for people to be able to keep up with you as much as I get to learn and love reading new things on people's blogs. I must admit, though, it will be rough going until I get used to it. Right now, I have no idea how to get my page to be just on the computer screen - it is too big and I want it to be the size of everyone else's! The size of the screen! Ugh!

Anyways, I do like the picture and colors I chose. It looks pretty cool. I mean, not as cool as my sister's or cousins', but I deserve some slack.

I also worry about my time on this thing. I worry about not getting enough in and needing to do other things and blogging instead! Oh well - a new project I've begun, and we'll see how it continues!
